The Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of its conductor John Morris Russell(also conductor of the acclaimed Cincinnati Pops Orchestra), opens the 2015-16 season on October 19th with a concert featuring Tchaikovsky’s “Capriccio Italien”, Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue”, and Rimsky-Korsakov’s “Capriccio Espagnole”.
The season continues October 15th and 16th, with a concert of Americana music, highlighted by Dvorak’s Symphony #9, “New World”.
Musicians of the Hilton Head Symphony enjoy the benefits and protections of an AFM negotiated collective bargaining agreement effective through June of 2018.
